Adapting an existing time and attendance system requires a detailed collection and analysis of functional and non-functional requirements. A clear specification and comprehensive documentation are essential to efficiently develop the system and meet project requirements.
We began by systematically gathering and analyzing requirements, which we specified using standard templates and UML. Technical documents such as use cases, business concepts, and functional system descriptions were created and continuously updated. Acceptance test cases were defined in close coordination with the relevant stakeholders to ensure the quality of the system adaptations.
At the same time, we conducted extensive business process and system analysis and created flow diagrams (BPMN, UML) to visually represent the processes. During the implementation phase, we acted as consultants to the development teams and technical architects.
Requirements workshops and presentations at team and management level ensured that all parties were informed and involved. Our structured documentation and ongoing consulting support throughout the project resulted in a successful customization of the time and attendance system, which now meets both current and future requirements.
